Camp Creator & Director - Moshe Schlussel a.k.a Coach Moe
Currently serving as Athletic Director at Gindi Maimonides Academy, Moshe has been teaching physical education and coaching team sports within the Jewish Community of Los Angeles for over 15 years.
Growing up, Moshe enjoyed going to Paul Young Sports Camp – he loved it so much he became a counselor-in-training, moved up to counselor and then camp director there for 18 years. It had always been Moshe’s dream to start his own camp to help shape the youth of the community into what he calls “MENSCH ATHLETES”.
Moshe is a true fitness and sports fanatic who doesn’t just spend the school year immersing his students in the world of athletics, but his summers too. Moe’s Camp emphasizes teamwork, comradery, sportsmanship, confidence and above all else being a MENSCH both on and off the field. Moshe puts this into practice throughout the school year as the Physical Education teacher at Maimonides for grades 4-8 as well as coaching the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams at the school and various after school sports electives.
Moshe is a certified NASM & WITS personal trainer. Moshe attended Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy, Yeshiva University of Los Angeles, Yeshiva University and Cal State Los Angeles.
