WHY OUR CAMP?
OUR EDUCATORS!

Moe Schlussel- Camp Director
Coach Moe had a dream of teaching and educating kids into what he coined as the ultimate achievement of becoming a “Mensch Athlete”. Moe has been working in the Jewish community for over 20 years instilling values of respect, leadership, sportsmanship, and sports fundamentals in hundreds of todays youth. He currently serves as the Athletic Director at Gindi Maimonides Academy and has been doing so for the past 12 years. From coaching, to personal training, to mentoring, and beyond Moe has put his imprint on the Los Angeles community. He has worked with NBA athletes as well as many coaches and trainers with extensive backgrounds and years of experience. Moe looks forward to every summer where he gets a chance to change kids lives by giving them a sense of confidence, pride, and leadership they never thought they had.

Jason Ridgeway - Boys Division Director
Hello! My name is Jason Ridgeway. Background? Glad you asked:
Graduated from Biola University 1998.
Played scholarship basketball, track, and a little club volleyball. And I have been playin and teaching sports ever since...
I have been teaching for 20 years and Currently I am a 4th grade teacher at Gindi Maimonides Academy. I am coming up on my 3rd year at this school.
I am excited to be workin this summer with Coach Mo and his amazing entourage. I can’t wait to help youth realize that the first step to a better life is having ‘an attitude of gratitude’ while embracing an athletic responsibility to pressures on and off the court and field. In essence... How to live an athletic and academic life and be a good athletic and academic person.

Haley Schwartz-Girls Division Director
Hi, I’m Haley Schwartz! I have been teaching for almost 7 years in LA, and am completing my fourth year as a Kindergarten teacher at Gindi Maimonides. In addition to working with children, I’m incredibly passionate about dance and yoga, and find it important to integrate authentic movement into our lives. I’ve been dancing since the age of 3, with an emphasis on jazz and contemporary styles. I spent my four years in high school on a competition Dance Team, taking on the role of Captain for two of those years. Both dance and yoga are common practices in my classroom, as I believe it’s important to offer children a space to express themselves through movement. I am so thrilled to be joining the team at Moe’s Camp for Summer 2020, and hope that the meaningful connections made will support your child in and out of camp. Looking forward to an incredible summer!
